Brainsnacks and Scotland

In numeracy we have been doing some information handling including using tally charts, pictograms, bar graphs, line graphs and pie charts.  We always have problem solving challenges in the class using a box called brainsnacks.  The challenges are always fun and interesting.  In literacy we have been focussing on functional writing including letters, instructions, reports and leaflets.

During Scottish week we had the chance to learn about Robert Burns, make a model of his cottage, take part in a Scots quiz, learn poetry and had a visit from a lady called Sheena Wellington who talked to us about old Scottish songs and taught us some of them.
