All P1-3 pupils will receive free lunches from January 2015

On 7 January 2014 the First Minister of the Scottish Government announced that all Primary 1 to 3 children would have the option of a free healthy school meal from January 2015. This will become available from Wednesday 7th January 2015 and if you wish your P1 to 3 child/children to have a lunch then they will be required to follow school procedure for ordering their meal.

School lunch is ordered in the morning during class registration and children will pre-order their main course choice from the 3 daily colour coded options. The menus are on a 3 week cycle and change every April and October to reflect seasonal changes. Special Diets – if your child has any food allergies or intolerances please inform school of this and they will then follow Dundee City Council protocol to ensure a suitable menu is provided for your child.

Parents of children in Primary 1 to 3 will not need to apply for free school meals.  Parents of children who may be eligible for free school meals from primary 4 onwards will still need to apply. Information regarding eligibility and criteria is available on Dundee City Council’s website link below. For more information on School Meals you can visit Dundee City Council website.
